FAQ

How heavy are the earrings?

Not heavy at all! Despite their larger sizes, the earrings hardly weigh anything. In fact, I had to buy a specialty coffee scale to weigh them. The Bigs weigh in at a whopping 0.2 ounces. The rest all weigh less than that. My first customer review specifically mentioned the weight saying "I felt like I had nothing in my ears"

Are the hooks hypoallergenic?

Yes! Both hook types are hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive ear lobes.

Do you have hooks that are good for people with gauged ears?

Yes! I do. They’re called “kidney hooks” and I can  swap the fish hooks out for them at no additional charge, just let me know in the checkout notes area.  They look like this:

What type of fibers do you use?

Depends on the earring.  I use a mixture of vintage, hand spun, wool, acrylic, cotton, and hemp fibers. Each earring description has the fibers listed.

How fast is shipping?

I ship all orders out as quickly as possible, usually within one business day. If there is a delay in your order shipping I will reach out and keep you updated. I ship from Colorado and shipping times will vary depending on where you are located in relation to me.

Are there duplicates of each earring color way?

Yes in a couple of the popular color ways there are duplicates however because of the nature of the fibers I use, no two earrings are exactly alike even if they are in the same color way. So technically each pair is unique.

Do you do custom orders?

I am currently not accepting custom orders for earrings.  I am always accepting custom hand embroidered jacket orders, please email me to discuss your custom order. My email is Edie@ediesayshi.com

Are your earrings sold in person anywhere?

Yes! They are sold in person in downtown Canon City at Yarned and Dangerous, on the corner of 3rd and Main St.  I am currently looking for more brick and mortar shops to sell them in, if you're interested in selling them in your shop please email me.  My email is Edie@Ediesayshi.com

Where did the shop name come from?

Edie Says Hi has been my instagram user name for a few years now so when it came to naming the shop it seemed like a logical choice. The username came from me yelling "Tell them I say hi" anytime someone I know is on the phone with someone else I know, in response they usually say "Edie says hi" - et voila! The username and shop name was born.
